FIFA QUALIFIERS Canada

NBA                 

The National Basketball Association(NBA) is the North American basketball league, composed of 30 teams (29 from the US and one from Canada). The NBA was founded in 1946, and since then, their regular season runs from October to April. Every team plays 82 games in total, and the playoff tournament was extended into June.

However, due to the current safety regulations, the NBA officially decided to reduce the season to 72 games for each team, and it started later on December 22. The NBA All-Star game was played on March 7, and Team Lebron won by 170-150. The NBA has announced that the playoffs will be played between May 22 and July 22.

• December 22 – May 16: NBA Season

The Canadian government has imposed new cross-border restrictions, forcing the Toronto Raptors to play their 2020-21 games at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

• May 18-21: Play In tournament

Once the regular season ends, but before the first round of the playoffs, the NBA team with the 7^th highest winning ratio from both conferences will host the team with the 8^th winning ratio in a Play-In Game(commonly known as the “Seven-Eight Game”). The winner will qualify as the 7^th seed.

• May 22 – July 22: 2021 NBA Playoffs
