How we review
Our rating of the Moncton Casino New Brunswick is based on facts alone.
Since we deposit real money for our online casino reviews as part of the review system we employ at CasinoBonusCA, we went there and gambled $100 like a regular Canadian player would.
Our experts used an overall budget of $500: $150 went to the restaurant and bar and we had to pay around $200 for a one-night stay for two in the 4.5 star hotel within the resort.
This is to prove that we actually evaluated every feature and rated objectively.

Slots at Casino New Brunswick – 3.5/5
Casino New Brunswick doesn’t excel in slots variety, but you’ll find a decent amount of games to play. Our rating considers several factors detailed below.
Slots variety at Casino New Brunswick – 3/5
Slot machine | Minimum bet | Max win | Providers |
---|---|---|---|
Jumanji 4D | $0.2 | 504x | IGT |
Lunaris | $0.5 | 2,500x | Scientific Games |
Goldbeard | $0.2 | 25,000 | Real Time Gaming |
Slots hours of operation
- Sunday to Thursday: 10:00 – 02:00
- Friday to Saturday: 10:00 – 03:00
Slots tournaments and jackpots – 4/5
Casino New Brunswick has many tournaments and promotions for slot players. A good example is the continuous Extreme Player Package, which rewards you with $200 in slot play tickets if you make a hotel reservation for 2 nights. Other packages start at $30.
In terms of jackpots, we were able to play one IGT’s Money Mania slot, but could not get more information about other progressive jackpots offered.
Verdict on slots variety at the Moncton Casino
Overall, Casino Moncton is a decent place to play slots but falls short compared to other local casinos in terms of promotions and number of machines. The jackpot variety is also limited, so our rating of 3.5/5 is adequate.
Table Games at Casino New Brunswick – 4.3/5
Check the areas we reviewed to arrive at our 4/5 rating for table games at Casino NB.
Types of gaming tables – 5/5
- Roulette
- Blackjack
- Baccarat
- Ultimate Texas Hold’em:
- Craps
Our experts counted more than 20 tables, which is average for Canada. However, the craps tables are going extinct, so the New Brunswick casino gets maximum points.
Betting limits – 4/5
Game | Minimum bet | Maximum bet |
---|---|---|
Roulette | $2.5 | $100 |
Blackjack | $5/$10 | $100 |
Baccarat | $50 | $200 |
Texas Hold’em | $5 | $100 |
Craps | $5 | N/A |
We were informed by staff that the betting limits for blackjack could be increased in the evening, which is why we lowered our rating. While the average minimum and maximum bets for the listed games are reasonable, the random shifting of table minimums isn’t. That would never happen in a top Canadian live dealer online casino. There you’ll find the same limits day in, day out.
High-limit betting room
If you aren’t satisfied with the maximum bet above, you can find 5 blackjack and baccarat tables with higher limits in a private salon. Increased roulette limits may also be provided upon request.
Poker tournaments – 4/5
Poker players have 5 tables to play cash Ultimate Texas Hold’em games. Minimum buy-ins vary. Call the pit manager at (506)861-4632 after 17:00 for more details.
The Bad Beat and Royal Flush jackpot tournaments are similar to other casinos in New Brunswick and Canada. They involve getting a specific hand in a tournament showdown to win prizes in excess of $25,000.
Be aware that you must announce your tournament entry way before kick-off, and the entry fee must be paid 30 minutes before it starts.
Poker room opening hours
- Thursday: 18:00 – 02:00
- Friday–Saturday: 18:00 – 03:00
- Sunday: 18:00 – 14:00
Our verdict on the table games
The selection of games is comprehensive and we were glad to see a craps table, even though it is open only Thursday to Saturday. If you’re a low roller, you should play during daytime to avoid increased limits.
Hospitality at Casino New Brunswick – 4.4/5
We group multiple factors that contribute to your well-being within our Hospitality review section. See what our experts found!
Parking – 5/5
US-visiting players only have to follow highway I-95 to get to the NB Casino. If you’re visiting from the country, follow the Trans-Canada highway into Moncton.
We found it easy to park and even got free parking for the whole stay. Plus. it didn’t look like the lot would get overcrowded.
Security – 5/5
- Dedicated staff at the door and inside
- CCTV cameras
- Anti money-laundering measures
- Anti cheating measures
The staff and services – 3.5/5
We were treated nicely by all members of the staff and could see they were trying to make our visit enjoyable. Still, we must point out that there was no room service. We could not use the spa within the hotel, either.
Casino Moncton Restaurant & Bar – 4/5
Description of the services provided and brief quality/variety assessment. Mention open hours for the restaurant + dish variety + ingredients, anything of interest about food/drink
Moncton Casino buffet hours
- Wednesday – Saturday: 4:00 – 9:00
There is a beverage service active from Sunday to Thursday all day long. In the evening, we recommend having dinner at the Moncton buffet. If you played at the casino during the day, you might enjoy a discount with your meal. Have a glass and relax at the Hub City Pub up until 02:00 in the morning.
Moncton Casino buffet menu
Item | Member price | Non-member price |
---|---|---|
Roast Turkey Breast and Thighs | $23.99 | $28.99 |
House Blend Spice Roasted AA Prime Rib | $23.99 | $28.99 |
Roast Pork Shoulder | $23.99 | $28.99 |
Items are subject to availability
The menu shifts almost daily, but you’ll get a desert and salads with each choice. While the price is certainly reasonable for how much you can eat for less than $30, the restaurant lacks vegetarian options. That explains why we lowered the restaurant’s rating to 4/5.
Do you get free drinks and food at Casino New Brunswick?
You’ll get the occasional snack and tea, but only non-alcoholic beverages.
Hotel & Lodging – 4/5
The 4 star hotel inside Casino NB has 126 rooms priced within the Canadian average for land-based casino resorts.
Prices for Moncton Casino hotel packages
One of the rooms can be yours from $180. We paid $220 for one night, which wasn’t the cheapest stay given that there was no room service. Luckily, you get many promotional packages which can lower the final cost.
For example, the ‘Stay, Play & Eat’ package is one continuing promotion where you’ll get coupon codes to play and eat if you book a hotel room.

From the outside, the casino may be unimpressive, but once you step inside you see it’s a high-class resort. The architecture inside gives you the sense that the building is only recently designed, which is true, as the Moncton Casino was launched in 2010.
What’s more, the resort has many amenities to please everyone, not only casino players, including a spa, inside pool and private games.

- Magic Mountain Water Park: 2 min drive
- Magnetic Hill Zoo: 4 min drive

Casino New Brunswick Versus Alternatives
The Grey Rock Casino in Edmundston, New Brunswick, is a player’s best local gambling alternative in the province, although at a much smaller scale.
Moncton Casino New Brunswick vs Grey Rock Casino
Grey Rock Casino is a more recent venue, having been launched in 2015 by Grey Rock Entertainment Centre Inc., working in partnership with the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation.
The Edmundston venue is home to around 200 slot machines and two electronic table game terminals, sensibly fewer than the variety at the Moncton casino. However, it compensates with the bingo hall.
In terms of lodging options, Grey Rock has only 85 rooms including family suites. It’s worth noting that the Grey Rock Hotel is also pet-friendly.
Grey Rock Casino is the better option for bingo
We recommend the Grey Rock Casino for its dedicated bingo hall. If you’re looking for a more intimate gaming experience, Grey Rock is a great choice, but unfortunately you get no live tables except for poker.
