How we conducted the study

Our casino bonus experts analyzed Instagram hashtag data on stadiums with over 10,000 permanent seats in Canada to discover the top ten most Instagrammable stadiums in the country. The hashtag-to-seating ratio was calculated by comparing Instagram hashtag data (as of March 2023) with a stadium’s permanent seating capacity. The stadium with the highest ratio ranked first, whilst the stadium with the lowest ratio was ranked last.

Many people share posts on social media, including photos and videos on Instagram, to share their favourite moments from games and concerts.

We conducted a study to find the most Instagrammable stadium in Canada. Due to our experience with analyzing top Canadian casinos, we were able to extract accurate data from the Instagram statistics we studied.

Rogers Centre

The study revealed that Rogers Centre in Toronto is the most Instagrammable stadium in Canada, with a hashtag-to-seating ratio of 4.08.

The stadium has amassed 169,205 posts under the hashtag #rogerscentre.

Rogers Centre can seat 41,500 guests for both sporting and entertainment events.

The stadium is home to the Toronto Blue Jays, and hosted the Juno Award Winner The Weekend in September last year for his “After Til Dawn” tour.

BC Place

BC Place, Vancouver, takes second place with a hashtag-to-seating ratio of 1.73.

It is the third largest stadium in Canada, welcoming over 54,500 fans and visitors who have recorded 94,485 posts under the hashtag #bcplace.

The Vancouver Whitecaps FC and BC Lions call this 1983 build their home, and the stadium will welcome Coldplay for their “Music of the Spheres” tour in September 2023.

BMO Field

The BMO Field takes third place with a score of 1.48. The Toronto structure is home to Toronto FC and the Toronto Argonauts. It has recorded 41,438 hashtags under #bmofield.

With a seating capacity of 27,980, it is a 2023 CONCACAF Nations League host.

Football fans will head to the stadium in 2026 when it hosts the FIFA World Cup.

TD Place Stadium

In fourth place is TD Place Stadium in Ottawa, with a hashtag-to-seating score of 0.82.

The Redblacks call TD Place home, and its capacity of 24,000 compares to 19,608 posts with the hashtag #tdplace.

Jimmy Carr will be in TD Place Arena hosting “Terribly Funny 2.0” in May 2023.

Olympic Stadium

The last stadium to rank in Canada’s top five Instagrammable stadiums is the Olympic Stadium in Montreal.

The stadium reached this ranking with a hashtag-to-seating ratio of 0.63.

The stadium has amassed 35,439 posts under the hashtag #stadeolympique and has a seating capacity of 56,040.
