Gold Eagle Casino Competitors

With eight other casinos in Saskatchewan, there is some competition out there. Most casinos are a significant distance from each other though. Additionally, Gold Eagle Casino contends with the best online casinos in Canada.

Gold Eagle Casino vs Gold Horse Casino

Situated further Northwest of Gold Eagle in Canada’s only border town, Lloydminster, Gold Horse Casino is a unique setting. It’s smaller than Gold Eagle Casino but the facility has 250 slots and 18 VLT machines.

Gold Horse Casino is best for live entertainment

Gold Horse Casino features a live event space that currently hosts more events than Gold Eagle Casino. These events include local bands, dance troupes, mediums, magicians, and cover artists.

Gold Eagle Casino vs Dakota Dunes Casino

Located Southeast of Gold Eagle in Whitecap, Dakota Dunes Casino is a multi-entertainment complex offering an 18-hole golf course, live entertainment, and exciting poker tournaments amongst its casino offerings.

Dakota Dunes Casino is the best alternative for high rollers

This casino is a great option for high rollers with its high-limit room – the only one in Saskatchewan. You can play blackjack and baccarat, with side bets and higher limits.

What sets Gold Eagle Casino apart from its competitors?

Dakota Dunes might be bigger, and Gold Horse offers more entertainment, but Gold Eagle Casino offers exciting slots and several table games with a very noticeable First Nations vibe. It’s that incredible First Nations vibe that sets Gold Eagle Casino apart.

Gold Eagle Casino Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Progressive slot jackpots with minimum C$1 million payouts
  • Two late-night dining options
  • Free rewards card offering free play & cash rewards
  • Highly respected and regulated casino operator

Cons

  • Small range of slot machines
  • No poker tournaments

Is Gold Eagle Casino Worth a Spin?

We think so! While certainly one of the smaller casinos in Saskatchewan, Gold Eagle still offers hundreds of slots, several table games, The Circuit, and plenty of progressive jackpots. The First Nations aesthetic feels very inviting and there are numerous dining options which offer local flavors.

However, some serious players or high rollers may see some drawbacks. For example, there are no poker tournaments, a very small range of table games, and only a handful of live tables – these can get a little busy.
